Thanks to an impressive track record in Quebec's senior public service and in the health and social services network, Lise brings incomparable expertise and recognized leadership to her clientele. She is knowledgeable about the decentralization of services and possesses intimate knowledge of the needs, points of view and rights of users of the health and social services network.
Lise Denis served as executive director of the Association québécoise d’établissements de santé et de services sociaux (Quebec Association of Health and Social Services Establishments) from August 2005 to December 2012.
Before that, she was Protector of healthcare users, a position she had held since April 23, 2001. With a master's degree in business administration, Lise Denis first worked in the housing, education and health and social services sectors.
She also served as general manager of the Société de développement coopératif en habitation from 1980 to 1983, the Association des centres de services sociaux du Québec from 1984 to 1993 and the Régie Régionale de Laval from 1993 to 1994.
From 1994 to 1998, Lise Denis was executive vice-president of the Conférence des régies régionales de la santé et des services sociaux du Québec.
Subsequently, she held the positions of deputy minister in the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (Ministry of Health and Social Services) in 1998, and deputy minister in the ministère des Régions (Ministry of Regions) in 1999.
Since March 2013, she has acted as a special adviser on health files at Tact-Intelligence-Conseil and as a management consultant in the health and social services network, in particular with the MUHC and the CIUSSS de l’Ouest-de-l’Île de Montréal. She also carried out mandates with the McGill Integrated University Services Network, and training activities with the boards of the CSSSs in the network. She also occasionally works as a coach with senior executives in the network. Ms. Denis has also been a member of the Board of Directors of the Olo Foundation since 2017.
Lise Denis was made a Chevalière of the Ordre national du Québec in 2013.
