Jay is a seasoned strategist best known for his ability to develop long-term strategies and integrate short-term tactics. He is skilled at paving the way to consensus and providing his clients with insight into the complex workings of governments and parliaments.

He has over 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors at the federal and provincial levels and has participated in more than 30 electoral campaigns across Canada. Jay has held positions as Executive Assistant and Director of Communications at the International Trade and the Treasury Board offices in Ottawa. He also took on an advisory role and worked with various elected officials on Parliament Hill. Originally from British Columbia, he would return home years later, and, from 2012 to 2017, he served as Chief of Staff to the former Premier. There, he oversaw various portfolios including international and interprovincial trade, transportation, technology and agriculture. Based in Ottawa with his family, Jay has also worked in government relations, notably for a nation-wide industry association before joining TACT.

Fluently bilingual, Jay is a graduate of the Bissett School for Business at Mount Royal University in Calgary and holds the Chartered Insurance Professional Designation from the Insurance Institute of Canada. Outside of work, he is a trained sommelier, a keen golfer and skier, and occasionally plays extras in movies and on television.
